A little piece of life abroad
A semester of stories. Something from you in their mailbox.
Your first neighborhood walk. The friends who became your travel crew. The meal you want everyone back home to try. Turn a photo from your semester abroad into a postcard for the people cheering you on.
How it works
Create a study-abroad postcard from your own photo, add a personal note, and enter a U.S. mailing address. Vantage prints and mails the physical 4x6 card for $2.99 with U.S. postage included. Active Gold and Platinum members can also attach a private Digital Memory gallery of extra photos and videos, opened through the printed QR code and an emailed access code.
- One physical postcard is $2.99, including printing and U.S. postage.
- Use your own camera-roll photos in your browser; one card requires no sender account or subscription.
- Mail to parents, grandparents, or friends at U.S. addresses. International recipient delivery is not available.
- A private photo and video gallery is an additional Gold or Platinum membership benefit, with recipient email and access-code protection required.
Mail a moment. Share the journey.
A view for their fridge. More of the adventure behind the QR code. Add a private gallery of photos and videos to a postcard with an active Gold or Platinum membership.
Gallery requires a protected postcard, printed QR code, and recipient email. The gallery is a membership benefit; it is not included with a standalone postcard.

Wish you could see this view.
A favorite photo, a personal note, and something to keep.
Choose one small story from a big semester
Start with something personal rather than a list of landmarks. The route to class, your favorite market stall, or the first meal you cooked with roommates can tell someone at home more about your daily life than a skyline alone.
Print one photograph or combine up to four in a photo-story layout. Use the original images saved on your device when possible, then review the crop and note before checkout. If a photo lacks location metadata, enter the place yourself or leave the coordinates unknown.
What to write on a study-abroad postcard
To your parents: ‘This is the little street I take to class now. I finally ordered breakfast without switching to English. I miss our kitchen chats, but I am finding my feet here.’
To a grandparent: ‘You would love the flower stalls at this market. I took this photo because the colors reminded me of your garden. Saving a few stories for our next call.’
To a friend: ‘We got off at the wrong stop and found this view. You would have voted to keep walking, so we did. Wish you were here for the next adventure.’
These are original illustrative prompts. Change the details to match your own experience and check the postcard preview for fit.
Let the QR code hold more of the semester
An active Gold or Platinum membership lets you attach a protected Digital Memory gallery. Gold supports up to 10 additional photos and one video of up to 60 seconds. Platinum supports up to 25 additional photos and three videos totaling up to 180 seconds per memory.
For example, mail a photo from your first weekend away and put the extra pictures and a short video in the gallery. Enter the recipient email and keep QR access and protection enabled. They scan the printed card and use the emailed access code to open the gallery in their browser, without a recipient app or account.
The standalone postcard and membership gallery are different offers. You can send a single printed card without subscribing; the additional gallery requires an active eligible membership.
A simple ritual for staying connected
Choose three moments to remember: settling in, a discovery halfway through the semester, and something you want to bring home with you. Send each when you are ready, or make a postcard after you return. Each card is a separate purchase or uses an eligible included-card allowance.
You create online with an internet connection; Vantage handles printing and mailing to a U.S. address. The postcard is not mailed from your study-abroad destination and does not carry local foreign postage. Allow time for printing and postal delivery rather than planning around a guaranteed arrival day.
Protecting the gallery restricts the online photos and videos. The printed postcard photo and note remain visible in the mail, so keep sensitive details out of the printed message.
Questions about Vantage postcards
Can I create a postcard while I am abroad?
Yes. Use your browser, an internet connection, and photos saved on your device. Vantage handles printing and mailing to the recipient's U.S. address. The card is not posted from your foreign destination.
Can I send to an international address?
No. Vantage currently mails postcards to U.S. recipient addresses. Your study-abroad photo can be from anywhere.
Do I need a subscription to send one postcard?
No. A standalone 4x6 postcard costs $2.99 with U.S. postage included and requires no sender account. Additional photo and video galleries require an active Gold or Platinum membership.
Can my family open the gallery without an app?
Yes. The recipient scans the printed QR code and opens the gallery in their browser with an access code sent to their email. No recipient app or account is required.
Is the gallery public?
Digital Memory galleries require access-code protection and are kept out of public search indexing. This protection applies to the online gallery; the printed postcard remains visible in the mail.
